CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting) surgery is a procedure to improve blood flow to the heart by bypassing blocked or narrowed coronary arteries. A graft, often from the chest (LIMA/RIMA or both), are used to create a new pathway for blood. It can be done on beating heart or sometimes by stopping the heart if an additional valve procedure is required.
MIDCAB (Minimally Invasive Direct Coronary Artery Bypass) surgery is a less invasive procedure for coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). It involves a small incision, often on the left side of the chest, to access the heart without splitting the breastbone.
Aortic valve replacement is a surgical procedure to replace a diseased aortic valve in the heart with mechanical valve made of pyrolytic carbon or a bioprosthetic valve made from bovine pericardium, porcine heart valve tissue or cadaveric human heart valve tissue
